Singapore 5-day Itinerary

I and my family visited Singapore last June 2-6 2016. For our plane tickets, we got a seat sale from SilkAir, so our tickets were about USD180 each.

The promo covers some free passes to a lot of tourist spots that would expire 24 hours from use. We used it during Day 2 and 3 of our trip.

Our flight was delayed and we arrived in Changi Airport at almost 12MN.


Day 1

  • From the airport, we went straight to our hotel via airport taxi (or I guess it was a limousine) and went to bed.

Hotel: Metropolitan YMCA (60 Stevens Rd, Singapore)


Day 2

  • Breakfast in the hotel
  • Strolling and shopping in Orchard Road
    • the hotel had free van service that brought us to Orchard Rd
  • Singapore Zoo
    • Orchard Rd to Singapore Zoo via taxi
    • lunch at Singapore Zoo
    • go around the entire zoo and watch some animal shows
  • Singapore Flyer
    • took a bus from the Singapore Zoo to the Flyer
    • ride the Flyer and get a good view of the city
  • dinner at Singapore Food Trail
    • walking distance; located near the Flyer
  • walk to Marina Bay Sands
  • visit Gardens by the Bay
  • see the Helix Bridge
  • back to hotel via train

Day 3

  • Breakfast in the hotel
  • Transferred to a hotel in Sentosa via taxi

Hotel: Festive Hotel

  • lunch in the hotel
  • visit Madame Tussauds
  • ride the Cable car
  • Universal Studios (watch the fireworks show!!!)
  • dinner at Toast Box in Sentosa
  • back to hotel room

Day 4

  • breakfast in the hotel
  • SEA Aquarium
  • lunch at COCA Steamboat in Sentosa
  • Adventure Cove
  • Vivo City Shopping Mall
  • dinner in the hotel
  • Crane Dance Show
  • Lake of Dreams Show
  • back to hotel room

Day 5

  • breakfast in the hotel
  • had some take out from Din Tai Fung
  • Transferred to another hotel via taxi

Hotel: Parkroyal on Beach Road

  • Lunch in a Japanese restaurant in Bugis mall
  • see the Merlion in Merlion Park
    • taxi from Bugis to Merlion Park
  • visit the Esplanade
    • walking distance from Merlion Park
  • Singapore River Cruise
  • visit Haji Lane
    • located near Parkroyal; walking distance
  • shop at Bugis
  • dinner in Bugis
  • back to the hotel to prepare for our flight to the Philippines in the morning
